Essence: “Amazing thing about this festival is that it is a great cultural event. We have been doing this for the past 19 years. We had 41 festivals this year and tens and thousands of people come to each festival. Most amazing thing is, the festival is completely free. But you have to bring with you three things to get in. You got to bring with you your dancing shoes, because you are going to do lots of dancing. You have to come with empty stomach, because we have delicious food…and most importantly, you have to come with your great vacation smile, because that is the biggest smile and you are going to be really happy at the festival.”

It answers most important questions in life. Another reason is that the way of life is very conducive to understand the Absolute Truth. Way of life is – Simple living and High thinking. Central to this Spiritual process is Kirtan. Kirtan means Glorification of God by singing God’s names. In the Scriptures it is said that in this age, easy and most sublime means to awaken our original Love for God is by chanting Holy Names…This is the essence of Spiritual Culture of India.”

Essence: “Though we may differ on various things, we all agree that we have one thing in common, we all are trying to find happiness. We foolishly try to find our hapinness in material things. Material things can’t give us any lasting happiness, they are here today and they are gone tomorrow. Actually what we are hankering for, is the happiness we experience in association with Lord. God is very merciful, he is present in his Name. When we say Hare Krsna we are actually associating with the Lord…We have seen that people from all over the world who chant this song become immediately happy.”

It is only possible if it is based on the Service attitude. More advanced, it is obvious, I want to render service to them. What is service related to equally advanced devotees? Let us spread Krsna Consciousness together..close friendship. They have only one thought how to serve Krsna together, spread Krsna Consciousness together. And less advanced devotees how to render service to them, that they can make advancement in Krishna Consciousness. By teaching, creating facilities for them to render service. There is always a service attitude. There is no question of I am more advanced than others or superior, because service attitude means I am servant of Everyone. That is the actual Vaishnava mood.”

Once you understand this fully, you don’t have to take birth again. This cycle of birth death, birth death is finished, if at the end of life you are self-realized.”

Essence: “So far in Bhagavatham we have heard only about saintly qualities of Prahlad Maharaja. Here Hiranyakasipu sees only bad qualities Srila Vishvanatha Cakravarti Thakur comes to the rescue of devotees by mercy of Mother Sarasvathi, and gives us the right understanding…Therefore we have to be very careful to always see things in the light of Shastra and in the light of words of pure devotees and not according to our intelligence. Because in our stage of devotional service, we still have little bit of Hiranyakasipu inside us.”
